Richard Crosby and Maya Desai qualified from Birmingham University in 1983 and after working for three years in Wymondham, opened the Poringland Dental Practice in1986 where they worked until 2005.

Both Richard & Maya gained the Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies (D.P.D.S.) in 2000 from Bristol University.

Richard gained a Masters degree in Prosthetic Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute in London in 2001. He mainly sees and treats people referred to him who require removeable dental appliances, in other words dentures.

Maya gained a Masters Degree in Endodontics in 2003 also from the Eastman Dental Institute. She sees and treats people referred to her for endodontics which is also called root canal therapy or root treatment.

Barbara Swistak qualified from Guys Dental Hospital in 1990 and worked with Richard & Maya at the Poringland Dental Practice until 2000.

She gained the Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies (D.P.D.S.) in 2001 from Bristol University.

Barbara gained a Masters Degree in Endodontics from the Eastman Dental Institute in 2002. She sees and treats people referred to her for endodontics and continues to work on a part time basis as a lecturer at the Eastman.

Sara Howes

Our nurses at Charing Cross Practice are Sara, Aileen, Jo and Magda. All our dental nurses are fully qualified and have additional training in the practice specialisms. Sara has been with the team for 14 years Magda is our newcomer joining us in October.
